To have a yard sale within the city limits of Glasgow you must get a Yard Sale Permit.
Permits are FREE and can be completed at Glasgow City Hall, 126 East Public Square.
Information needed: Address of yard sale, Your name, home address, phone number and dates of sale.
City Ordinance No. 2090 states: You can have no more than one (1) yard sale per calendar quarter. You are allowed two (2) consecutive days per quarter. Any person violating this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less that $100.00, nor more than $500.00
City Ordinance No. 2215 states: Do not place signs on any street, telephone poles, or right-of-ways. All signs can only be places on property of yard sale and removed by the day after the sale. Violators will be fined a minimum of $25.00 per sign.
