The duties and responsibilities of the Glasgow City Clerk shall include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Agendas and Minutes of all City Council Meetings and maintains the minutes as historical documents.
  2. Maintains all Ordinances, Resolutions, Municipal Orders, Executive Orders and Joint Executive Orders for the City of Glasgow as historical documents.
  3. Writes Proclamations for the City of Glasgow.
  4. Maintains Citizen Access to Public Records through Open Records Request for all Departments.
  5. Opens and distributes mail into the City.
  6. Creates, advertises and distributes procurement bidding packages for the City of Glasgow.
  7. Prepares, advertises and distributes employment opportunities for the City of Glasgow.
  8. Designated “Official Custodian” of the statements of financial interest for the Code of Ethics Board.
  9. Performance of the duties required of the “Official Custodian” or “Custodian” pursuant to KRS 61.870 through 61.882
  10. Possession of the seal of the City
  11. Submit to the Department for Local Government a list containing current City information.
  12. On or before January 1, provides the county clerk with a roster of eligible voter addresses within the City limits of Glasgow. (KRS 116.200)
  13. Performance of all other duties and responsibilities required of City Clerk by statute or ordinance (KRS 83A.085).
