“Litter Fences”

Following months of record-breaking wind events, members of the staff at the Glasgow Regional Landfill are proud to have installed the first of five “litter fences” on the property to combat the unsightly spread of debris.

These fences are designed to contain loose refuse inside the landfill cell, as well as being able to be transported to different parts of the landfill depending on wind direction and areas most vulnerable to wind damage. Landfill manager Nick Miller said “these fences will help us deal with shifting winds during seasonal changes and help us keep the landfill looking much better.”
