Under executive and legislative direction, plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the firefighting, prevention and fire service activities of the Fire Department. Applicant must have graduated from an accredited high school or its equivalent (GED) supplemented by ten (10) years progressively responsible experience in firefighting and fire prevention work, including supervisory experience of four (4) years as Captain/Shift Commander or above at a career Fire Department; Must be a Kentucky Certified Career Firefighter; Must be a Kentucky Certified Level I Instructor, etc. See job description for complete qualification requirements.

Under the supervision of the Building Inspector enforces compliance with the City Building Codes.
